100th PhD Student
April 14, 2025
Today we celebrate the graduation of my 100th doctoral student with some of my current and prior PhD students. If somebody told me that after 37 years as an MIT faculty I would have graduated 100 PhD students, I would have found it unbelievable!
Alex Paskov
April 14, 2025
Warm congratulations to my 100th doctoral student, Alex Paskov, who successfully defended his thesis today. Alex has made significant progress in using AI and optimization on solving clustering, optimal trees, wordle, and poker!
Yu Ma
April 7, 2025
Warm congratulations to my 99th doctoral student, Yu Ma, who has defended her doctoral thesis today. Yu has done exceptional work in AI and healthcare and is continuing her career as an assistant professor at the business school of University of Wisconsin-Madison.
